IP HD camera

This IP HD camera uses the TI TMS320DM365 Digital Media System-on-Chip to capture live 1080i video at 30 frames per second. To stream a video from the Micron's MT9P031 (5MP camera sensor) the kernel has to be patched. The image is overexposed because there is no white balance. The next step in this project is to find ways and means to solve this problem.

Wi-Fi IP Camera

This Wi-Fi IP camera uses a Samsung S3C2440A ARM920T, a WLAN Card, and an OV9650 (1.3MP camera), to create a Wi-Fi IP camera. The streaming of the video was done by installing M-JPEG streamer and the camera and Wi-Fi was done by modifying the kernel. In the tutorials on this website you would find that the same chip for servo control and LEDS were used. This is a great solution for wireless monitoring, and control.

This is a 4 layer board that I designed using the pic32mx795f512l and the marvell 88w8686 Wi-Fi chip. It includes an Ethernet controller and spi output to control LEDS strips.

16 x 16 Led Panels

This is a set of 2 matrix led panels that is controlled with a Pic32 and an Ethernet module. Each panel has its own IP, and from the windows application you can select the location of the panel to form an array of panels and to display whatever is on your desktop into the panel.

Pick up table tennis ball robot

This robot is designed to pick up table tennis balls and it is not a kit. I completely designed and built it for a friend who plays table tennis. The front side of the robot has an opening in the corner of the concave angle formed by the two sides. There is a rotational door in this opening, which is activated by a couple of sensors located on top of the door. When the sensors receive a signal about an object e.g. like a table tennis ball, the signal is transmitted to a servo engine which turns the rotational door in 360 degrees hitting the object inside the robot...

Car control with palm pilot

The aim of this project was to be able to control the car with the palm pilots. Palm pilots were very popular in 2003; therefore with the help of a school friend, we decide to take advantage of that by combining our knowledge of hardware and software that will provide complete control of the accessories in a car, like windows, doors locks, engine and any other electronic accessory through your palm pilot.
